ACHIEVING YOUR BEST INTERVIEW PERFORMANCE ON THE DAY
Interviews can be stressful and difficult experiences. You may feel that your nerves hold you back or that you struggle with clarity and poise when asked a tricky question. However, a great performance on the day is completely achievable as long as you invest in careful preparation.
HOW WILL THESE SESSIONS BENEFIT ME?
The preparation I will take you through will help you to feel confident and calm when going into the interview process. I will help you pinpoint any aspects you find challenging and then using strategies and techniques to overcome them.
MOCK INTERVIEW PRACTICE
The sessions will include a practice interview. You will be asked both general questions and ones based specifically on your cover letter, CV or personal statement. This interview will be filmed so that we can closely analyse the strengths and weaknesses in your interview technique and work together to improve and perfect it.
Communication skills are crucial in order to clearly and confidently get across what you have to say. We will work on strategies and techniques, both verbal and non-verbal, that will help you show your best self in the interview.
Nerves are one of the key things that can hamper an interview. Therefore we will learn strategies (e.g. breathing, visualisation and relaxation techniques) that can be used in the run up and during the interview so that you remain calm and collected throughout the whole process.
